Playing Spore @ Maxis Studios
On August 22, I got to travel to Maxis Studios at Emeryville, visit other community site owners, top Spore enthusiasts, meet the developers and finally play SPORE. One of the most awesome parts of community day was being able to play SPORE for myself. The Maxis crew let us play for about 3 hours or so [...]

Clearing a few things up
Total Spore was created as a side project of mine about one and a half years ago. The growth of this site has been phenomenal, and I’ve struggled to keep up with it. Fortunately for me, we’ve been developing an awesome community of Spore fans that have kept this site flying along. Total Spore [...]

New game information page
Just a quick note that I just pushed the game information page live tonight.
I know news has been pretty slow around here — but not to worry, I’ve got ideas up my sleeve :) While we’re in the drought of information known as post-E3 there’s plenty of speculating and imagining that can be done. Don’t forget to visit the forums and chat with other Spore addicts!
The whole story (GDC ‘05)
So many of you may have seen the gameplay footage circulating around the internet in the past few months - but did you know it was only part of a full presentation given by the main man, Will Wright? In his introduction Will talks a lot about the ideas behind Spore, namely procedural generation, and gives a few extra tidbits along the way. If you’re interested in seeing the whole thing, I found it on Google Video.
